Sign Language Programs In Districts

In line with the Church Administration’s continuous effort to help our Deaf brethren, Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) officers in this district spearheaded at the Local Congregation of Tandang Sora a “Basic Sign Language Seminar,” which aimed at training brethren on how to effectively communicate with the Deaf.

God’s guidance and the combined efforts of the Christian Society for the Deaf and Finance officers in this district resulted in a successful Evangelical Mission. Hundreds of people attended to listen to the words of God and got interested in knowing more about the Church Of Christ.

Motivated in sharing our faith, our Deaf brethren visit their Deaf friends and invited them to an Evangelical Mission that was sponsored by the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) which was held simultaneously in different local congregations in this district. Deaf visitors who attended express their interest to attend worship services in the Church Of Christ.

Inspired by faith and for the love for our countrymen, our Deaf brethren together with their invited guests from the Local Congregation of Templo Central participated in an Outreach Evangelical Mission, held at the New Era Elementary School Covered Court. Brother Christian Libunao, Minister of the Gospel, taught from the Holy Scriptures the importance of membership in the Church Of Christ to attain salvation. The attendees were provided with free medical consultation and dental services and were given goodwill bags to help them in their daily needs.

Heeding the call of the Church Administration that “God’s elect strive to live in holiness,” brethren from the Local Congregation of Bansud invited visitors to attend the recently held EVangelical Mission for the Deaf. The visitors felt belongingness and decided to register as Bible students for them to all the more learn the truth written in the Bible. The brethren were inspired to continue on actively participating in the works of propagation.

A blissful day for the Christian Society for the Deaf in this district as a milestone has been reached, which is the first worship service with Sign Language interpretation in the Local Congregation of Veterans Village 1. Having felt the love and concern for their spiritual welfare, the Deaf brethren said that they are all the more inspired to continue serving God.

Brothers and sisters in this district benefited from the CSD Basic Sign Language Seminar where they learned basic skills to communicate with the Deaf. This strengthened their bond with one another and edified their faith.

An Evangelical Mission for the Deaf sponsored by the Christian Society for the Deaf was conducted in this district. Our Deaf brethren invited guests, some of them are their family and loved ones who expressed their intent to continue listening to the teachings of God upheld by members of the Church Of Christ.

In accordance with God’s commandment to help people to know His words written in the Bible, our Deaf brethren invited guests in the Evangelical Mission spearheaded by the Christian Society for the Deaf in this district.

Excited to showcase their talent, Deaf brethren from this district actively participated in the Dessert Plating Activity. They were very thankful to the Church Administration for creating activities that will truly inspire and strengthen their faith.
