Sign Language Programs In Districts

The Deaf brethren attended their first worship service with Sign Language interpretation at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Camiling. Having been edified in their faith, they expressed gratitude to the Church Administration for taking care of their spiritual welfare.

“Sign Language is fun and easy!”, this is what Children’s Worship Service members found out as they watch and follow the signs from the Sign Language Tutorial for Kids video clips in their CWS Sign Language Seminar.

Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from various local congregations of this district eagerly learn during the Sign Language seminar they attended at respective houses of worship. The “Sign Language Tutorial for Kids” video they watched greatly helped them in familiarizing basic signs which they can use in communicating with the Deaf.

Our Deaf brethren in the district are very thankful as they received care packages during the CSD Cares activity. They extended their gratitude to the Church Administration for the love and care they have felt.

Taking part in fun and games at the CSD Get-Together in this district was a joyous occasion for our Deaf brothers and sisters.

The young brethren of the Children’s Worship Service or CWS in the Ecclesiastical District of Macao conducted a Basic Sign Language tutorial led by Brother Shandrick Earl Ang, the CFO Overseer. He taught the young brethren the basic signs for the common terms used inside the Church Of Christ.

God’s love and care are continually felt by the Deaf brethren in the Local Congregation of Abanico through the Church Administration, proof of which was the first Worship Service with Sign Language interpretation that they attended.

For the Buklod members from the Local Congregation of Veterans Village 1, the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) officers led a Basic Sign Language Seminar at their house of worship. Having learned the importance of proper communication with the Deaf, the married members were eager to attend upcoming seminars and learn more signs.

Learning the basics of Sign Language and its importance in communicating with the Deaf truly inspired the brethren in this district to learn more and use these skills to share our faith.

Graham Balls are easy to make, being no-bake dessert bites made with crushed graham crackers, condensed milk, and all-purpose cream. These the Deaf Brethren enjoyed making during their monthly CSD Get-Together. The Christian Society for the Deaf officers led them.
