Sign Language Programs In Districts

A Basic Sign Language Seminar conducted in this district provided the brethren not only the skills for communicating with the Deaf community, but also a means of sharing their faith with the Deaf individuals. These skills will help them to strive further the intensive work of propagation inside the church. Brother Alex M. Reyes, District Minister led the brethren in this district in finding more ways to share their faith.

Playing board games serves as a bonding moment among Deaf members and officers from the Local Congregation of Syquia.

It is a great pleasure for Deaf brethren to be able to participate in the CSD Camp in Leyte West. They are thankful to the Church Administration for this wonderful opportunity. The event is part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Christian Society for the Deaf. Our Deaf brethren met and made new friends with other brethren from different districts in their region.

Church officers from this district attended and actively participated in the Sign Language Seminar led by Brother Alex Castillo from the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD). They learned basic signs to use in everyday conversation and in worship services. This activity was held in line with the Church Administration’s goal to equip more members the ability to effectively communicate with Deaf individuals.

Officers of the Christian Society for the Deaf in this district led a Get-Together activity. Fun-filled, it thus strengthened their bond with fellow brethren who are Deaf. As newly-baptized members and Deaf visitors were also welcomed, they also felt that sense of belonging.

In this district, the Christian Society for the Deaf held a Basic Sign Language Seminar. Through this activity, the brethren from this district were introduced to proper communication with the Deaf, and were even inspired to learn more.

Having the confidence to communicate through Sign Language is one of the skills that the brethren have acquired as a result of attending a Sign Language Seminar in their district.

Members of the Children’s Worship Service in this district enjoyed learning Sign Language fun and easy.

Smiles and laughter were evident during the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) Get-Together activity in this district. Looking forward to more activities for the CSD’s 10th anniversary, the CSD brethren expressed their gratitude to the Church Administration.

Following God’s teaching that they share the true faith with others, the Deaf brethren led by the Christian Society for the Deaf officers in this district distribute copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine, and pamphlets.
