Sign Language Programs In Districts

BONGABONG, ORIENTAL MINDORO – Members of the KADIWA and Binhi organizations in this district held a Basic Sign Language Seminar. The brethren learned the importance of Sign Language and making basic signs which they can use in communicating with Deaf brethren and in sharing the true faith with deaf people .

MAMBURAO MINDORO OCCIDENTAL – A Basic Sign Language seminar for the CWS members and officers was conducted in this district. The attendees were so thankful to learn various signs and very excited to use them in engaging in simple conversations and introducing themselves through Sign Language.

SAN JOSE, MINDORO OCCIDENTAL—Our Deaf brethren in this district showcased their skills in art as they actively participated in a Coffee Painting. The activity also brought joy to them especially as they met other Deaf brethren in the Church.

MARINDUQUE – Members of the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD), Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN), and Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) attended a Basic Sign Language seminar which was led by Brother Jejie Sanz, CSD Adviser. In this activity, the attendees learned signs that they can use to communicate with the Deaf in times of danger.

PALAWAN SOUTH – With the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) officers on the lead, their fellow Church officers from the Local Congregation of Antipuluhan benefited during a Sign Language seminar, upon learning, among others, on how to communicate with the Deaf through Sign Language.

CENTRAL – The CSD officers from various local congregations of the district led the CSD Monthly Get-Together held at the covered court of Tagumpay 1 compound. The Deaf brethren, accompanied by their parents, enjoyed the interactive games, which thus inspired them as they continue serving God.

DAVAO CITY – Members of the KADIWA Organization in the Local Congregation of Matina Pangi enthusiastically attended a Basic Sign Language seminar. The attendees not only learned basic signs such as the alphabet and greetings but also learned the proper way of fingerspelling. These are of big help, they said, in communicating with the Deaf.

ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – A Basic Sign Language Tutorial was conducted in this district which was attended by the members and officers of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO). The attendees were filled with excitement as they were taught knowledge and skills that are beneficial for helping the Deaf community.

ZAMBALES SOUTH – The officers from the Local Congregations of Calapandayan and San Antonio attended a Basic Sign Language seminar. The attendees were inspired to learn more about Sign Language to help the Church Administration in taking care of our Deaf brethren.
