Sign Language Programs In Districts

SAN PABLO CITY, LAGUNA – The Church officers from the Local Congregation of San Francisco attended the Basic Sign Language Seminar led by the Christian Society for the Deaf. The brethren learned basic signs such as the alphabet, greetings, questions, as well as common terms used in the Church.

ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – The Christian Society for the Deaf in this district conducted an online CSD Get-Together and Basic Sign Language Seminar. The participants enjoyed the activity and were very thankful to the Church Administration for the continuous love and guidance.

MAKATI – Officers of the Christian Society for the Deaf in this district spearheaded a Basic Sign Language Seminar in the Local Congregation of North Signal. The attendees learned how to sign the alphabet, numbers, colors, days, greetings, and common Church terminologies.

PANIQUI, TARLAC – During the Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language Seminar held at their house of worship, Church officers from the Local Congregation of Sta. Maria learned how to sign the alphabet, numbers, and greetings, among others.

QUEZON NORTH – Members of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) from the Local Congregation of Tignoan in this district enjoyed learning basic signs from the Basic Sign Language Seminar they attended. They are excited to use what they learned in communicating with the Deaf. Officers of the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) led in educating them.

ILOILO SOUTH – The Sign Language Interpreters Development Activity by this district further enhance the CSD officers’ communication skills, that is, using Sign Language (SL). As its name signifies, this activity aimed at honing SL skills and thus cater to the spiritual needs of Deaf brethren.

ZAMBALES NORTH – The Christian Society for the Deaf in this district led a Basic Sign Language Seminar. The purpose of this activity is to improve the Sign Language skills of our hearing members so they can be of help to the Church Administration in loving and caring for our Deaf brethren.

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Brethren from the Local Congregation of Guiwan actively participated in a Basic Sign Language Seminar. Taught how to sign basic words and the rules of signing, they were thankful for the skills they learned which are useful in communicating with the Deaf.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Secretaries in the Local Congregation of Cagayan De Oro City attended the Basic Sign Language Seminar launched by the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) . They are very thankful for learning how to sign the alphabet, numbers, and Church terminologies. They know that these are very useful in fulfilling their duties.

MAYNILA – Members of the Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) from various local congregations of this district benefited from the “Buklod Livelihood Seminar” held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tundo. The Deaf brethren learned how to make dishwashing liquid, which they could use either to make a living or just for personal purposes.
