CENTRAL – BASIC SIGN LANGUAGE SEMINAR
CENTRAL – Keeping in mind that there is a need to learn more about Sign Language, brethren from the Local Congregation of Tandang Sora attended a basic Sign Language seminar.
CENTRAL – Keeping in mind that there is a need to learn more about Sign Language, brethren from the Local Congregation of Tandang Sora attended a basic Sign Language seminar.
DAVAO DE ORO – Learning basic signs and ways on how to communicate with the Deaf catch the attention of brethren during the Sign Language seminar led by Brother Jade Lyndon Reyes at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mainit.
PALAWAN SOUTH – With the aim of educating the Church members about the Deaf, and on how to interact with them, this district held a series of Deaf Awareness and Sign Language seminars in various local congregations. Many brethren attended.
CAGAYAN WEST – Smiles can be seen from the faces of brethren in this district who attended the Sign Language seminar as they learn the skill that is both interesting and beneficial to acquire.
The seminar held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bulalacao not only focused in teaching the brethren Sign Language to enable them to communicate and interact with the Deaf community. It also provided them with an understanding of the Deaf culture, and the ways on how they can support the Deaf people regarding the challenges they face.
An enjoyable Get-Together was held by the Christian Society for the Deaf in this district, making the Deaf brethren feel that sense of belonging having acquainted with their fellow Church members.
Interested to learn Sign Language, many brethren in this district attended a Sign Language seminar, thus broadening their knowledge about not only signing skill but also Deaf Culture.
The brethren in this district had a great time attending the Deaf Awareness seminar held at the worship building of the Local Congregation of Lagro. The activity was organized to help Church officers better understand the Deaf community, their language, and their culture.
The participants of the CSD Get-together exuded with happiness and enjoyment as they took part in the painting activity that brought out their artistic abilities and strengthened their bond.
This Get-Together and Painting Activity gave our Deaf brethren a sense of belonging and made them feel appreciated. It also gave them the opportunity to express themselves through their artwork.
