PAMPANGA WEST – It is evident among the brethren in the Local Congregation of Ebus that they have a keen interest in learning Sign Language as they actively participate in Sign Language Seminars in their district where they learn a variety of basic signs.
CENTRAL – To help more brethren learn Sign Language, this district conducted a Sign Language seminar in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sagana. Through this seminar they learned basic signs which are vital in conversing with the Deaf.
BONGABONG, ORIENTAL MINDORO – An exciting and beneficial Basic Sign Language Seminar was conducted at the Local Congregation of Sabang, Ecclesiastical District of Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro. It covered the alphabet, common phrases, and expressions of Sign Language as well as basic communication skills. Participants also learned how Sign Language can bridge the gap between the hearing and Deaf communities.
RIZAL – To better communicate with the Deaf community, brethren in the Local Congregation of Padilla participate in Sign Language seminars.
CAPIZ – Being aware and responsive to the needs of our fellowmen who are Deaf starts with learning how to communicate with them through sign language. This is the aim of the Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language Seminar that was held in various local congregations in this district which was attended by the officers and members of the Church Of Christ.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – A Sign Language seminar was held in this district, where Bro Jared Paskewic, the district CSD adviser, taught participants how to sign alphabet letters and basic phrases used in worship services. Through such activities, the brethren are able to learn valuable skills that will enable them to reach out to many more people so that they too may benefit from the good news of salvation.
SULTAN KUDARAT – To equip our brethren with the skills to communicate with the Deaf, this district conducted a Basic Sign Language Seminar. This seminar was designed to teach the basics of Sign Language, such as basic signs, finger spelling, and facial expressions, so that our brethren could communicate with the Deaf more effectively.
Christians Society for the Deaf (CSD) organized an informative seminar at the Local Congregation of Silangan to provide brethren with a better understanding of Deaf culture and Sign Language.
The CSD Get-Together held in this district brought joy, excitement, and inspiration to both the organizers and attendees. It provided a wonderful opportunity for the Deaf brethren and CSD officers to connect, strengthen their bond, and edify their faith.
